"Put the BAS (shoulder harnesses) in last annual and have not been disappointed. I don't know what the problem your talking about when you say "hanging down". They supply Velcro to hold them up when not in the plane but we just hook them back to the lap straps when not in use. "I've got the BAS (shoulder harnesses). I don't find their presence in the cockpit problematic at all. I have as much freedom of motion with them as without, and the passenger side, which sits empty a lot, just stays clipped together with the seatbelt and doesn't move around. They'd be my first upgrade in any plane without them....The BAS system is excellent. I never notice them. Best $1K I ever spent. Charlie K"

"I really like my BAS harnesses. I let them hang when not in use. When flying alone, the pax side is far enough behind me that I can't see them and they are not in my way. When I need them out of the way for loading the airplane, I tuck them up un the sun visors, which is a convenient place. BAS supplies Velcro patches for the purpose, but I opted not to install them.
