Welcome to RMD Aircraft Lighting Inc.

RMD has generously donated a set of upswept wingtips that will fit any PA28, or PA 34 to the flyin this year.  Look for it on E-Bay a week prior to the event.  These do not have the lights, but you may upgrade to the lighted version for a measly $675.00.  The upgrade includes halogen landing lights and everything necessary to install them, including wire, circuit breaker, switch, installation instructions, and Supplemental Type Certificate. (Uses existing nav or nav/strobe assembly, strobe kit not included). HID lights can be used as an option to the halogen lights, again for the difference in the price (an additional $1000).

Located in Hillsboro Oregon, at the
Twin Oaks Airpark(7S3) , RMD has been manufacturing fiberglass wingtip lighting for over 25 years. Our quality products are used for both landing lights and in-flight recognition. STC and FAA/PMA approved.

     * Reduce runway visibility problems
     * Gain better control-tower recognition
     * Improve an aircrafts appearance

*** Un edited TESTIMONIALS ***

"Put them on and was very pleased with the differance. The low speed
handeling is awsom all the way to the ground as well as aleron crispness
in the air. The lights shure make a differance as well. Like the fact of
being able to be seen better and seeing the runway at night with more
than a flashlight. Highly recomended "  Kenny, Highland lakes NJ

"We installed them BEFORE the gap seals and rot fairings, so we were
able to evaluate them alone... The increase in roll response was
immediate and significant. We (all 3 pilots/partners) were
overcontrolling the roll in response to gusts in the flare. Aileron
response was much better through the stall. No change in cruise or top
speed. Lights work well, easy to change bulbs and aim the lights. They
fit "snug" The installer had to do some very minor grinding for this
"snug" and PERFECT fit. Glass work (layup and gel) was some of the best
we have seen,... ever. Support (a few questions) was very good. Would
recommend the product and company without hesitation. We purchased
direct from RMD."  Dave G.

"Got the tips for my 1978 Warrior. The quality was excellent. I re-did
(replaced) all the top fibreglass (fiberglass parts on the top of the
airplane) and got it from RMD. Front and rear dorsals, stabilator tips
and wingtips. All the stuff was really impressive quality and fit. I got
the set with the quartz lights and they really improve both your
visibility and others visibility of you. I had about 800 hours in my
Warrior when I installed them. The first flight I took, I was stunned at
how rock solid the plane was all the way down to the ground. I thought
the plane was stable before but with the RMD tips it was like the thing
was gliding on rails in the descent. I'm not exaggerating it was that
noticeable.  Any questions I had, Bob DeBorde was right there to answer
them. Spectacular customer service. The last and perhaps most important
point is that they look damned sexy! I would highly recommend them."
Bill N, Toronto Canada

"I have had my Knots2u upswept wing tips with lights on my Archer for 3
years. They look great and the wingtip lights work very well.  Together
with a full set of gapshields and wing root fairings the low speed
handling is very much improved right up to the moment the wings stop
flying. I can't measure any really increase in speed but the rate of
climb has increased."  Roy P.
